Rusty has extensive experience in the tennis industry. Rusty grew up in the junior program at CBRC . He played college tennis at East Tennessee State University and was a member of the University of Tennessee Tennis team. After graduating Cum Laude from Tennessee Wesleyan College Rusty became a staff professional at CBRC. Rusty was head professional at Smoky Mountain Tennis Academy before returning to Cedar Bluff Racquet Club in 2002 as head tennis professional. In 2014 he was named tennis professional of the year by USTA Tennessee.
Rusty is currently the coach for Knoxville Catholic High School. Under his leadership the Knoxville Catholic tennis team has played in ten state championships and have won eight state titles. In 2023 the Knoxville Catholic Girls team was ranked number one in the nation according to UTR. Rusty was named TSSAA 2023 girls high school coach of the year for Tennessee.
Here at CBRC, Rusty is the head tennis professional handling various affairs of coaching, clinics, junior team tennis, leagues, and competition.

Greg brings a wide range of skills and experience to our teaching pro staff. He is a highly-experienced, personable, USPTA certified tennis professional, with 30+ years of professional experience, spanning a variety of tennis arenas, including indoor & outdoor facilities, country clubs, colleges, health clubs, public facilities, and junior & adult camps.
Greg was the varsity coach at the University of Kentucky for five years. He also has extensive personal playing experience, including USTA Junior and Adult competition on the state, sectional, national, international levels and USTA professional circuit as well as four years competing in the NCAA Division 1.
Nathan Beckroge

Nathan grew up playing tennis at CBRC and has been working over 6 years with our JDP Programs, teaching private lessons, and working with several local High Schools.
He has extensive tournament playing experience throughout Tennessee.
Along with personal and professional experience, Nathan is also a Master Racquet Technician (MTR) and has been stringing at Racquets and Jackets since 2005.
John Gompert

John’s junior tennis career included the following highlights:
-ranked as high as #5 in his section
-reached the finals of the Arizona state high school championships in singles
-earned a gold medal at the National Sports Festival
-twice All Conference while playing for Division I Georgia Southern
John’s Adult tennis and teaching career have included:
-coached sister Kate to a career high of 18 in the world rankings with wins over Chris Evert, Pam Shriver, and Hana Mandlikova to name a few
-holds Southern Tennis Association titles in both singles and doubles
-was the Head Pro at Kiawah Island Resort for 5 years
-taught or played alongside such tennis legends as Ken Rosewall, Dennis Ralston, Cliff Drysdale, Roscoe Tanner, and Manuel Orantes to name a few
-taught former Vice President Spiro Agnew and NBA Coach and Announcer Hubie Brown
Derek Stultz
Derek Stultz

Derek played #1 at Freedom High School for four years. Growing up in North Carolina,h e started playing tennis at the age of 7. Derek has been teaching tennis for 10 years and has the unique ability to simplify the game for his students that is conducive to both learning and having fun.
Derek concentrates lessons on stroke technique, explosive footwork, mental focus, and strategic shot selection. Derek has coached 2 Junior Team Tennis teams to the National Championship finishing second in 2022 and as a finalist in 2023. He has also coached multiple local, state, and sectional Junior Team Tennis teams.
Derek has also played on multiple winning local, state, and sectional USTA teams with an appearance at the USTA mixed doubles championships in Tucson, AZ
Chris Kiser

Chris was top ranking junior player in Texas and former collegiate player. He attended Temple College and the University of North Texas. Chris has 15 years of teaching experience with adult and junior players. Chris has coached sectional and nationally ranked players in New York, Texas, and Tennessee. Before coming to Cedar Bluff Racquet Club Chris taught at Manker Patten Tennis Club in Chattanooga, Univ. of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, and The Westside Tennis Club in Forest Hills, New York
Archer Marlow
Archer Marlow
Private Rate: $60 an hour
Archer Marlow was born in Oak Ridge, TN and trained at Cedar Bluff from a young age. He competed on the Oak Ridge High School tennis team for 3 years. His junior year, he won his district and competed in the regional tournament his junior and senior year. He attended Emory &Henry College (2018-2022) and competed at the collegiate level all 4 years. His freshman year he was named ODAC player of the week, the first male tennis player from E&H to do so in 6 years. His junior year he led the team to an ODAC tournament berth for the first time in 8 years. His senior year E&H moved up to the D2 level and Archer earned a scholarship. He posted a combined record at #1 doubles and #2 singles of 61/56 for all 4 years. Archer was also named on the 2019- 2020 ODAC All Academic Team. During his time off from school he was the junior assistant pro at Green Meadow Country Club for 5 years and has helped the Rod Ray Tennis Camp at Wofford College for two consecutive summers.
Tito Lladro

Tito is from Madrid, Spain who trained in the Federation of Madrid. His last year in high school he went to the High Performance Tennis Center of Madrid where he was coached by Sergio Perez (Fernando Verdasco’s coach) and Tati Rascon (Spanish Davis Cup 1998/2000). He was awarded a tennis scholarship by Tennessee Wesleyan University graduating with a business and marketing degree. He was a 2 time recipient of the Champion of Character Award by the University and a Champion of Character Award recipient by the NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) in 2016/2017. His collegiate tennis record is 65-18. Before joining our staff Tito was a JTT coach at Baylor in Chattanooga and a teaching pro at Manker Patten Tennis Club for 2 years.
Dylan Scott
Dylan Scott

Dylan Scott played #1 singles and doubles all 4 years in high school at Meigs County High School. He played tennis at Tennessee Wesleyan University his freshman year before transferring to the University of Tennessee and graduating with a degree in Advertising. Dylan plays at a 4.5 level and has played in USTA and ITA tournaments. He has been coaching for three years now, and has experience coaching all age groups and levels.
Ransom Coslett

Ransom was a scholarship athlete in tennis for Tennessee Wesleyan University. TWU ranked top 25 in the nation 3 of the 4 years he played there. He later stayed on as an assistant coach two years for the Bulldogs. Ransom has been teaching tennis in Knoxville since 2013. He taught at Smoky Mountain Tennis Academy for two years, Tennessee Tennis Club and Academy for eight years, and was head tennis professional at The Pickleball Playground for a year before joining Cedar Bluff Racquet Club in August 2024. He has also given lessons at Fox Den Country Club and the prestigious Black Berry Farm. Ransom has served on the GKTA Junior Team Tennis board since 2020 and has coached several middle school teams in the area. Ransom is USPTA certified in tennis. Ransom trained and played at CBRC as a teenager and is excited to bring his experience and knowledge back to CBRC.
Noah Baker
Noah Baker

Noah came to CBRC in April of 2022. Originally from Nashville TN, he was a highly ranked junior player in TN and 3x All Mid-State Selection playing number 1 singles and doubles throughout his high school career. Noah played college tennis at King University before transferring to the University of Louisville where he studied Sports Administration.
Noah is a USPTA Certified Professional and has been coaching tennis for 3+ years. He enjoys working with all ages and levels on the tennis court, focusing on stroke technique, footwork, strategy, and anything you need to work on. Noah likes to assure that you enjoy your time on the tennis court and his teaching style has a balance of learning infused with fun.
